This small Texas company created an outdoor break area with products from Commercial Outdoor Furniture Sales. These few key items transformed a small area behind one end of the building into a peaceful, comfortable setting for those who need to step outside for a few minutes.

The key pieces to this layout were the two rollform benches. The one pictured at the top left was mounted to the sidewalk to give employees a place to eat snacks, visit with coworkers, or simply sit outside for a minute to get some fresh air and sunshine. The red bench in the upper left photograph was mounted in-ground beside the storage building. This bench functions as the company’s only designated smoking area.

You will notice that one roll formed bench features armrests, while the other does not. People tend to relax more in benches with armrests. The company chose the armless bench for the smoking area to deter smokers from taking more than their allotted break time. The other bench was ordered with armrests so that employees on lunch break could take a bit longer to relax, use their cell phones, or read a book.

The Northgate chair serves as a decorative piece more than anything else. However, there are those who prefer to sit here when they want privacy on a personal call. You will notice that the chair has been personalized with the company logo by cutting the design directly from the metal plate in the backrest. The Northgate chair is one of the newest additions to our commercial outdoor furniture selection. It is typically customized to showcase the corporate brand.

The 32-gallon trash receptacle reminds employees to clean up after themselves. A trash receptacle, not shown in the picture above, provides a displosal area for cigarette butts. This brief case history reveals that while everything in Texas is not necessarily bigger, companies will always find ways to make things better using only simple things to make it happen.
