It is done by cutting around the steel in the time of manufacture so that a solid plate remains in the backrest after the slats have been cut. It less expansive than full-color artwork or dual color lettering, and it saves money on loss prevention. Anything painted on a stolen bench can be painted prior to being resold. However, anyone who might think of stealing this bench from our headquarters is going to seriously think twice when he or she realizes there is absolutely no way to paint over letters that our cut out of metal.
